About Us

Goodstart Educational Center was established by Agnes F. Jereos in 1975 at Philam Homes Q.C. to cater to preschool aged children of the community and neighboring areas. Having taught at the Ateneo de Manila for 16 years, and with a Master’s degree in School Administration at Philippine Normal College, she wanted to open a school that would ‘make ready’ children for the big schools.

From an initial class of 10 students in 1975, Goodstart has now more than a thousand graduates from its 30-year old history. Because of the solid foundation in preschool education, the school’s graduates have done well in the ‘big schools’ and have even gone back to the school to express their ‘thanks’ to Mrs. Jereos/Goodstart.

Recognized by the DECS in 1985, the school continues to strive for excellence in early childhood education. The strength of the Goodstart program lies not just in a sound curriculum backed by current research on early education, but in its team of caring and professional teachers and staff.
